Lilac is the artistic director of Althea Theatre and is endorsed by Arts Council England as a promising Exceptional Talent in the UK. She was one of the finalists for the JMK Award 2019 and is currently working with Graeae as a Trainee Director.

 

Directing credits include Heroes (Work in progress, Vault Festival, nominated for an Origins Award for New Work), The Glass Will Shatter (Omnibus Theatre & UK Tour), Home Sweet Home (Stratford Circus, Jackson’s Lane and ARC Stockton), Jericho’s Rose (co-directed with Mike Cole and Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster, Hope Theatre & Theatre Deli Sheffield), One Last Thing (For Now) (Old Red Lion Theatre, nominated for an Off-West-End Award for Best Ensemble). 

 

Previous movement direction and consultancy includes Swimming (The White Bear), The Indecent Musings Of Miss Doncaster 2007 (Camden People’s Theatre), How Far Apart (Utopia Theatre in collaboration with Arcola Theatre) and Far Gone (Theatre Delicatessen Sheffield, Sheffield Crucible and UK Tour). 

She also tutors at Mountview and directs at Identity and the National Youth Theatre.
